Serves 4
1 big onion sliced
1 pepper sliced, any colour you like but probably not the green ones!
600g of stewing steak
Splash of oil
2 tablespoons of plain flour
1 pint of beef stock - I tend to use a stock cube and water
3 tablespoones of tomato puree
4 teaspoons of paprika
half teaspoon of caster sugar
Sour cream
Fry off the onion and pepper and then put in Slow cooker. Brown the stewing steak, stir in the flour and then pour over half of the stock. Give it a good mix and then add the tomatoe puree, paprika and sugar. Add some salt here too if you like. Pour all this into the slow cooker and add mix it all together. Depending on the size of your slow cooker add the rest of the stock. This is a great size recipe for a 2 litre slow cooker. Cook on low for 8 hours.

Goes well with ribbon pasta or mash potatoes. Dollop the sour cream on the goulash to serve.
Enjoy!
