About Me
I am a classically trained Mezzo Soprano. I first began singing at the age of 11 and studied with Maureen Hunter A.L.C.M, L.G.S.M,F.L.C.M. I was a founder member of The Maureen Hunter Singers with whom I still sing today. I have sung in and won classes at various Music Festivals including Hull, Hornsea, Cottingham and York and my most recent success was winning the Opera, Lieder and Oratorio classes at Cottingham Music Festival in January 2007. I was also awarded the Victor Ludorum Shield for ‘the most meritorious performance’ in the singing section of the festival. Last year I gained my Guildhall School of Music Diploma in Performance for which I had to perform a recital including Opera, Oratorio, Lieder and Art songs and more light hearted songs from the shows, which earned me the right to append the letters GSMDP after my name. Singing at weddings gives me the opportunity to do the thing I love best …. Singing! whilst giving pleasure to others on their special day. |
